Chess Lessons

Private Lessons.

Private lessons will be charged per hour. Lessons Pricing will be based on how far we have to travel to you. We do this as a convenience to you. Our teachers are based all over the Chicagoland area. Game Of Kings does not feel you should have to travel to the other side of Chicago to receive a chess lesson.

The pricing is based on Our travel but will not exceed 50.00 an hour.

To get the most out of each lesson we suggest you do longer then 1 hour at a time. To help you get the most out of each lesson the 2nd hour will be 1/2 off for each visit. The 2nd hour does not carry over to the next weeks lesson. You will still need to pay the full first hour lesson to receive the 2nd hour at a discount.

For kids we will travel to a public location or their house with a parent close by. We do this to insure the safety of the child.
Our teachers are certified through Virtues. We do this as another step to insure the best possible care for the kids. We want chess to be a safe and fun learning experience.

We only except cash for Private lessons.

Group Lessons.

Group lessons are once a week for 5-10 weeks a session. One 1-hour lesson per week. We like to keep a minimum of 10 in a class.

1 week - $10.00 per child.

We will give discounts to families. If you have more then one child or child and adult wanting to do a group lesson with other people. We will give you 1.00 off per person per week for a family price. You only need one other family member to get the price discount but can add as many as you want to it. Chess boards and sets for this class are provided by Game Of Kings.

Here is an example of the cost per week.

2 people - $18.00 a week

3 people - $27.00 a week

We understand most families do not have 10 people. If you are a family and want to have a group lesson. Please contact us about the pricing to set up a private family group lesson. These will also be 5-10 week sessions.

Group lessons are paid in full at the first class. We except cash or check.
